Aya is a calm, social, and kind 34-year old woman; she ages with Ayako. She is better at being calm and dealing with panic attacks, anxiety attacks, and some social situations than Ayako. However, if she is overwhelmed or stressed, she has a harder time dealing with those things. She is good at organizing things and being assertive. Aya is the host, social alter, verbal protector, and caretaker of the system; co-hosts and co-fronts with Ayako and blends with her when needed.

Ako is a cheerful, outgoing, and upbeat 20-year old woman with a positive and carefree attitude who acts like a 16-19 year old. She tends to identify as and call herself a girl and not a woman because she feels more like a girl than a woman. She loves fashion, fashion magazines, watching reality TV shows and dramas, makeup, dressing up, parties, social events, shopping, and having fun. She is not affected by emotional manipulation or emotional abuse and can easily pick them up. Despite coming off as not caring about anything or anyone else, she has a caring side as she would comfort other alters affected by emotional abuse and/or struggling and outside people who are struggling. Himeko was created when Ayako was six years old to preserve happy childhood memories, used to deny that any abuse occurred, and believed that the family was a happy one. Eventually, she no longer denied what happened as Ayako went to therapy.
Personality[]
Himeko is a nice, sweet, and girly 6-year old girl. She likes princess movies and anything else to do with princesses, frilly dresses, hime lolita dresses, stuffed animals, dolls, tiaras, tea parties, Disney, and playing pretend and dress-up. She is generally cheerful and happy-go-lucky though she gets sad and/or scared when someone in the system has body memories and/or flashbacks.
Himeko is a little, memory holder, ex-denial part, and trauma-free part of the system.

He stopped fronting when Ayako was 10 years old, but only fronted when triggered out until he fronted again in therapy to tell the therapist about the traumatic events that happened in Ayako's childhood.

Nao is a quiet and timid yet kind and caring 9-year old boy. He likes honesty, detective anime and manga, mystery anime and manga, reading, and nightlights. He does not like being lied to, having things hidden from him, or accused of lying and gets upset and anxious when it happens. Nao is also afraid of the dark and dislikes the smell of fish since he associates them with the trauma that he experienced. He is honest and tends to speak in a blunt, matter-of-fact way.

Background[]
Shunsuke was created when Ayako was 10 to hold abuse that the system could not handle and to protect Nao from having to deal with it. He then shielded Ayako and Nao from the physical and emotional abuse received between the ages of 12 and 15. The reason why he also shielded Ayako and not just Nao was because Jun (then called Miku by the system at the time) needed help holding parts of the traumatic memories from that period of time and she insisted that he help her help Ayako. When Ayako was 18, Shunsuke used to self-harm in order to try to help Ayako cope with her anxiety and other negative emotions. He was also influenced to self-harm due to Danjiki, but he was unware of them until therapy. Now he stopped self-harming because of the therapist's help as well as the integration of Danjiki and decided to be a protector for the whole system, not just Nao.
Personality[]
When Shunsuke is 18, he was initially cold, serious, and cynical. He used to act hostile towards Ayako because she did not understand that he was trying to help her the best way he knew how at the time instead of intentionally ruining her life and acted distant towards the rest of the system except for Nao and Himeko because he felt no bond to any of them except for those two. Once Ayako began going to therapy, he began to warm up to the rest of the system, including Ayako. He is still serious and can be cynical at times, but is more light-hearted, easygoing, and caring than before. He cares deeply about Ayako, Nao, and Himeko. Shunsuke likes listening to music, spooky things, skulls, crossbones, dark colored and goth clothes, and watching horror anime. He is able to keep calm during stressful situations, but when he is stressed out or gets flashbacks, he regresses to cope and age slides when he encounters any reminders of the trauma he experienced, rice, or Onegai My Melody. When Shunsuke is 10, he is withdrawn, shy, skittish, and irritable, yet has a friendly demeanor. He also does not like to be or feel alone and can be hypervigilant. Shunsuke likes Kuromi, Baku, Nyanmi, Wanmi, Konmi, Chumi, watching Onegai My Melody, skulls, crossbones, dark colored clothes, and nightlights.

Jun was created--known as Minikuiko or Minikui for short at that period of time--when Ayako was 12 to shield her from the bullying and abuse from many of the students. She used to alternate between binge eating and fasting in order to cope with being made fun of for the body's appearance. Jun used to be the host and helped Ayako with daily life like Aya and Emi were doing. She initially thought that she was Ayako's guardian angel who was sworn to protect her and thought that the alters who split off from Ayako were also Ayako's guardian angels while she thought that the alters who split off from her were either her imaginary friends or monsters before becoming aware of and accepting the fact that she is an alter in a system like the others. She stopped fronting when Ako came to be and only fronted when triggered out to binge, fast, and hoard food in an attempt to help Ayako deal with negative emotions and fronted again when Ayako went to therapy to talk about the traumatic events that happened to Ayako between the ages of 12 and 15. She changed her name to Jun with the help of the therapist.
Now she comes out sporadically, but prefers to come out at home as she has agoraphobia due to experiencing the trauma from being bullied at school.
Personality[]
Jun is a reserved, quiet, and sensitive 12-15 year old girl who comes off as cold and prickly, but is compassionate and protective towards people she cares about. She cannot stand people, like Ayako, suffering or in pain; therefore, she took the abuse and held the painful memories so that Ayako would not have to deal with them. She used to hold a lot of self-hatred and sadness which was shown by binge eating and fasting as well as crying whenever she looked at the reflection in a mirror or looked at the body, but she loves herself more and is happier since Ayako worked with the therapist.

They tended to dissociate a lot, feel like they are floating, and had out-of-body experiences. They were ashamed of them not eating, being afraid of eating especially when around other people, being around other people, and their fear of being fat. Danjiki hated the emotional pain they were feeling and experiencing so they self-harmed and influenced another alter--Shunsuke--to self-harm. They thought that fasting or not eating and self-harming were necessary to protect the system, especially Jun, and to relieve stress. When the therapist told them that their coping mechanisms were unhealthy, they expressed a desire to integrate so they could best help Jun, the system, and have peace.
